paper studies.
folding, bending, creasing, cutting. experimenting with paper and manipulating the material in different ways sensitizes to its structure and possibilities of creating unique shapes. form studies and material analyses were crucial to understand material properties and tell a story with nothing more than a blank sheet of paper. thus, an object that emerges from the second dimension to the third is created.
the tray is made from stainless steel and serves as a spot where small items like keys, jewellery and coins can be kept. cut from a single sheet of metal, it can easily be bent along the notches. in doing so, the flat piece of metal turns into a three-dimensional object. the tray's simple, yet elegant shape is borne by its harmonious symmetry.
